Wednesday was like Tuesday we had to listen to Ms. Ingram. Omg my eyes were closing but I can't go to sleep because then Ms. Ingram will hit my desk. THURSDAY i wan't here friday we were watching the movie it is cool

I'm so glad that we don't have to do bellwork Because I'm really tired of having bellwork. And the other thing that I'm happy is that Ms.Ingram didn't made us write the notes. I think Tuesday was a really nice day because we didn't even had a quiz.

Monday 7, 2009

Monday we had our test and I was pretty upset because I was doing my study guide but I lost it and I'm not going to get extra credit. I turn in my notebook so that would be okay. I'm not so excited that the semester is almost over.

Fresh start.....................YAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!were watching the movie today(i think)

This movie seems to be good so far, but i didn't like to see those people get shot like that. It isn't far that those men and women had to die like that.

THE LAST WEEK

OMG!! FiNALLY WHEN iT WAS GETTiN BETTER HOLOCAUST iS OVER ... i WANT 2 GO 2 A FiELD TRiP AGAiN ABOUT HOLOCAUST. i AM WORKiN ON MY STUDY GUiDE N i AM ALMOST DONE BUT i FORGOT THE CHEAT SHEET iS JUST THE FRONT OR BOTH SiDES. WELL WHY MONDAY THE CARD iS DUE CAN SHE GiVES TiLL TUESDAY

Ok So I also wanted to write about a terrible nightmare I had last night. I think the class is getting to me a little, or a lot, because I had a dream about the Holocaust. It was really strange in the beginning because nothing made sense and then it just got scarier and scarier. I feel a little bad saying this because I have no idea what it must have felt like to be in the Holocaust, but my dream was terrifying. And everything we learned about was in the dream and it went on forever and seemed to never end. It started out that I was in a ghetto like the Warsaw ghetto. and lots of wierd stuff was happening and they were unsanitary and lots and lots of strangers and lots of evil nazis who laughed at us. And there was a HUGE rodent. it was disguisting. And then they were doing selections and then later we were in a line waiting to get food and the evil nazis said one person took too much so they made the people at the front go to the back and wait even longer and it was loud and scary and there were barbed wires and wooden crowded train cars. It was terrible. Has anyone else had any nightmares about the Holocaust?

I'm really sad that this class is almost over because it was a great ride! and I'm going to miss it. I like the group and I'm going to miss my buddy behind me and ms. Ingram's humor in class.

I have nver seen that movie and i am scared because I think that so far it is a little graphic! I am happy that Ingram was able to finish four chapters and fit in a movie! Good job Ingram! I honostly believe that I did learn a lot in this class! I just feel sorry for the other guys because they are going to wirte all of thier notes and we had some of ours printed out! :) Next I have Publications!

I have been working on my study guide and I think that this exam is going to be the hardest! I hope that I pass! I was reviewing the novel but I htink that the first one was reallly boring! I can't believe that after all of this complaining, we got through this class! I remember I was scared but I can see that it is ok. We got through this together guys! ;) I am just really scared about this final! I don't think that any other final is going to be as stressful! I had a blast Ingram!

Today we continued watching Schindler's list, but we didn't finish the movie. that movie was so crazy, I mean the SS shot Jews just out and in the open. Schnidler had a wife and a girlfriend, that was another thing that I just couldn't understand. I found a scene in the movie so ironic, the part when the lady was trying to tell Schnidler the building was going to fall. he didn't want to listen, so he shot her then decided to tell them to take it down....that was crazy!

So, today we finished with the notes. Which by the way we didn't have to write. Thank God because we would of taken longer. We started waching the movie. I never seen it so it seem a bit confusing. Hopefully I get it by tomorrow. We also got our study guides. And let me tell you its pretty long. But we can do it for extra credit. Ms. Ingrem also gave us a notecard that we can use for the test. This I think will make it a bit easier because there are many dates and vocab we need to remember.

Today was a good class, we were able to finish all of our Chapter notes. we also were able to get our studyguides, and watch only a few minutes of Schindler's list. now all we have to do is our LAST project, studyguide, and final. it really seems like this week is going by so fast, and it's so ironic because I remember our first day of Holocaust class.

12/10 Tuesday

Today we finished up notes really fast and got our study guides =0
and watched like 6 minutes of Shindlers list,, =]

I think that even though all the Jews that were killed for rebelling I still believe it was a success. They fought for a suprising amount of time. Although they died im sure they still died proud that they fought back. I think the Jews still succeded because it scared the Nazis that they were rebelling and it did give them something to think about. It was just another thing Nazis had to think about. But what im curious to know that i wonder how Hitler felt when he found out the Jews were rebelling and how he felt when he know they were going to loose the war. I wanna know if he felt foolish? Or scared that all the people in Germany were going to be angry with him. I believe if he was such a brave guy he wouldn't have took the easy way out by committing suicide.

Chapter eleven and chapter 12 have veen my favorite chapters because at the beginning the Nazis were so sure they were going to be a thousand year empire and it's just great to read how they began falling part and how scared they were. I thought it was pathetic how the Nazis were trying to get rid of the Warsaw ghetto by Hitler's birthday!! That was one of the most rediculous things I heard in this chapter!

Today was a good class, we finished Chapter 11 notes and started on Chapter 12. Chapter 12 was quite interesrting because we talked about the sonderkommandos digging up bodies, taking anything valuable, and then burning the bodies. I was thinking to myself, that it was a good thing we didn't have lunch today! then they would put grass over the bodies like nothing happened. it seems like this week is going by really fast, I felt weird not being able to do bellwork in class today.

Man, this week seems to be going by fast. So today we started doing notes again. We're doing chapters 11 and 12. Which by the way we don't have to write because Ms. Ingrem gave us the notes. I'm glad because after writing notes for other classes by the time I got into her class I was tired of writing. So hpefully we don't write notes no more.

Today's class was a good class, we started Chapter 11 and 12 notes. we talked about the Warsaw ghetto, and the resistance groups. I found this chapter to be interesting because although the Jews/ resistance groups didn't last long, they still had the courage to fight against the Nazis.

11/7 tuesday

today we read over sum notes about warsaw ghetto and how some of the jewish people resisted by forming 2 armies.. and how the first little battle they had and how the jewish armies beat the nazi's!! =]

Today was a good day. We began Chapters 11 and 12. Ch. talked about armed resistance groups. Even though they groups were not successful, they did try to defend the honor of the Jews and of humankind. It talked about Mordecai Anielwicz and the Warsaw Uprising. I did my research paper on him. It's crazy how the armed resistance groups managed to fight for four months and Poland surrendered in less the a month.

Today's test was pretty easy for the most part. I hope the exrta credit helped me out for the answers i got wrong. I cant wait to start watching Schinlerz list:). Thank God theres no reading quiz tomorrow:)

Monday..

Today,.... the test was hard because i didn't study but, I skim into my notes.. and so .. I think I would have like 13 to 30% meaning an F. O well, thats what I get.

Tuesday

It was great to have a speaker. But, I would off like to meet somebody that was in the concentration. I have a lot of doubt and questions. aw www :] I really want 2 go back again. but, Ms. Ingram I would love to go where all this happen because I think I would learn more... But, the place I would like 2 visit is where Anne Frank family was in hidden. and the concentration camps.. Do you think there are museums where all of this occur.

tUESDAY

Obviously WE WENT on a field trip to the Holocaust Museum. I was scared because you Ms. Ingram sounded like if they would of hurt us. But, over all it was like a any other museum but, with a guide. It was cute 2 see a little dress... I was impress to see too many passports. and some clothing of the Jew on concentration camp,...I was scared to go to restroom too. can u believe it. The cool part that I like was the little view of hidden that Anne frank had.. the little horsey.

WOW...

ON MONDAY WE WENT OVER THE RULES. SCARED TO GO...

So, today we took chapters 7,8,9 and 10 test. I though it was going to be some multiple choice. But it wasn't it was all short answer. I found it to be a bit difficult. I couldn't really remember everything. But at least it is over with. The good thing for these last day of school is that there is no more bellwork or quizs. I just hope that the study guide isn't that long or the test. I also hope that we get the study guide this week. so that I could get started as soon as posible because I got other teats to worry about as well.

Today's class was okay, we took a test on Chapters 7-10. I think I did good/okay on the test. I kind of got a few things mixed up like what kind of profit the Nazis made off of the Jews, but other than that I think I did pretty good. Now we have to read Chapter 11 and 12, after that is finals, then the project is due.

Today's class was okay. The test was pretty easy, except I got confused on a few things. I was stuck on the concentration camps. The words are hard to pronounced, so remembering them was pretty hard. The death camps were easy to remember. They were listed on the extra credit section. Lets see what I get when Ingram grades them and gives them back.
I'm getting pretty worried about finals, especially Ingram's. 13 pages is a lot. My brain's going to be fried afterward.

Im glad we only have about a little more than two weeks of this class left. I hate always having to blog cause i'll be in bed and i remember that i forgot to blog and then i have to get back up. Atleast we didn't have it as bad as the next class. Theyll be having to write down ALLLLLL of their notes. I have no idea how Ms.Ingrams able to teach the same exact thing all over again.

I just finished studying for tomorrows test in Holocaust. I better do good cause im pretty tired. I had a hard time studying the concentation camps bacause I kept getting them confused with the death camps...grr. I still cant believe are final exam is gonna be 13 pages!! Im gonna be freaking out that night.

Rutka's Notebook

I finished my project. I like Rutka's story because she said everthing about her days in the ghetto. She sounded so brave and seemed to deal a lot. Rutka was very mature for her age and I'm glad to have been able to know who she was and about her experiences.

Fixin the notebooks!

Everybody has to check their notebooks to make sure they have all their bellwork, vocab and notes! Ingrams checking notebooks tomorrow so get ready. I'm almost done with mine :]

Holocaust Museum

The Holocaust museum was very interesting. Though I didn't much like our tour guide, I liked looking around and reading everything. I learned a lot of things just by wandering a little on my own :] I definatly want to go back on my own real soon.

I can't really remember what we did on Friday. I do remember taking notes and my hand hurting from all that writing. At least we finished them. Oh yea we went over the test that we are having tomorrow. It is over chapters 7, 8, 9, and 10. Which I believe it is our last test before finals. It all seems to be going so fast it seems like it was yesterday that I walked into the class. Well, don't forget to study for tomorrow:)

This week in review....I guess.

Working on this power point. I read this book but for some reason it seems harder to do the review. I forgot the book so finding the names of her friends is difficult. I was skimming thrugh the blogs and eveyone seems to like the Field trip. I am scared about this test and final! I hope that I do well in both because I think that the final will be the hardest. I also hope that Ingram prints out the noest so we cn move faster on the chapters. I can't believe she wants to cover all of these chapters before we end this class. I hope we can blog about the semester at the end! I actually like this blogging thing, I have never pictured my self doing this. It just seemed like somehting new. I don't like that we have to do it that often but I guess it helps us too! ;)

The speaker!

The speaker was the best part! I think that she was very strong to speak to is because it takes courage. It takes a lot of courage to talk about a great tragedy, especially something like that! I loved how she said that she felt that this is something she has to do because not many survivors are left! It is on us to keep this story going, we need to tell others that this happened and that it was a tragedy in many people's lives. I loved how she said that she doesn't allow her children to wear "Religious" jewlery! She made so much sence!

The Trip!

So it was so much fun! I was glad that I had a chance to talk to a Holocaust survivor! I was a little worried about what I will see, but everything was interesting! I have to admit I did cry a bit! I had this bad feeling when we walked into the train! I was able to feel the people riding the train to their death! I would hate to be put in that situation and not knowing what the outcome would be. I loved how the room about "The Night of Broken Glass" was designed! The building its self was well designed. I had lots of fun on Tuesday.

Omg...Lots of notes we neede to write down.We did chapter ten notes and it was a lot of notes. Chapter ten notes were the jews fighting back.Resistance means to oppose fight back.Jews fought back with religion history and traditions.The governer passed anit semetic laws.Omg we need to do study guide for mondays test.We also need to make sure notebooks are complete so we can turn them in.

Also i remember when we walked in to the room with many videos.That was also very sad because lots of pictures were shown.Also i really liked the Kristallnacht section of the museum.When we went into that room with lots of the names and they were getting bigger and changing colors was cool.I never imagine being a meaning to that.I didnt ike being rushed because i wanted to take my time and look at everything a little bit better.I also got many ideas for my final project.

Well monday was a good day. We spoke about the museum. Omg about the Museum there is a lot that I really liked. The museum was so sad it broke my heart. I couldnt believe everything the jews had to go through. The train in the museum felt like if we were the jews boarding the train. It even smelled like the trains they were boarding.The room we went into was very sad becasue it was like time to think about everything the jews went through.The speaker broke my heart just saying her life story.I couldnt believe she still remembered lisening to the nazis footsteps when getting both her parents.

Friday.

We took notes lots of notes and then we talked about our test. I'm going to study because I really want to get a good grade if I don't I have a chance for the exam. I'm starting on my final project because I still need to buy the things because is a painting and I really want to take my time. I've been waiting for this project since we started Holocaust class.

Tuesday.

I really liked the museum but it would be better if we saw everything. I really wanted to see the documentary where they show how they really killed the Jews. The part that I was really waiting for was the speaker. It really touched me when she said she came to U.S and her dad got married again and left her to the side and she really didn't had nobody because her mom and grandmother died. So sad.

Monday.

Most of the period we were talking about the field trip. I was pretty excited I really wanted to go because Holocaust is one of my favorite subjects. So monday we didn't do much.

Today was a good class, we finished our Chapter 10 notes. We talked about the Jews fighting back, and how some Jews killed themselves afterward. it was kind of cool that the Jews finally stood up the Nazis, especially the young boy that was praying then slapped the SS guard. we also have a test on Chapters 7-10 on Monday, studyguides are due, and the book review powerpoint is due. wow so much to do!

I forgot to mention something else about the trip. I don't think there are words to describe the feelings I had when we saw the train car. The first time I saw it from above bc we were on the floor right above it. That made me cry. It was incredibly surreal and heartbreaking. But actually going to see it and going inside was the worst. I felt like I could sense the terrible, inhumane, and downright evil things that happened there. I felt like it was almost kind of disrespectful for us to be standing there and for it to be on display. I mean I get why it's there but it somehow seems very wrong to me. But I'm glad this museum was built because this is the least that we could do to honor all of those who died.

SO I wanted to comment on the field trip. It was intense. But such a great experience. meeting a Holocaust survivor and hearing them talk about their life was on my bucket list so now I can die with one of my big goals accomplished.

So, today we got back on notes. We started chapter 10. It seem like a long time since notes. I had already forgotten how long the notes were. My hand was already hurting from all that writing. But at least I made it through the whole class. Although it seem like a gloomy day and with all the notes I was getting really tyerd and getting sleepy. Well at least I didn't go to sleep.

Today was a good class. we started on Chapter 10 notes today, and we talked about our powerpoints. well for those that want extra credit it'd due tomorrow, I'm almost done so I'll turn it in. we were also going to do vocab, but we didn't have enough time.

I was a bit behind so I just checked the last two weeks of blogs!! :) 15 of you are doing quite well but there are 4 of you who are not keeping up on blogging!!!! Grades will suffer if you don't keep up!!!!!

Ingram

Well, today was a worried day. I though we were going back to have class. But I guess Ms. Ingrem had to take care of some bussness like always. Which was a good thing because I got to finish some work that I had missed from the Thanks Giving Feast. After wards Ms. Ingrem came in to talk about what we though about the trip. Everyone got to exprace what they though. Although I forget to manchin about the road car how I felt the smell. I felt that the smell was still there I guess it was because of all the dead bodies and all the things that happen there that the smell is hard to go away.

Today was a good day. we didn't have that much time in class, but everyone got a chance to talk about what they liked about the trip. I liked the trip overall, but it would be kind of cool yet a little scary if we visited one of the camps! well we won't be taking Chapter 7-9 test on Friday, it has been moved to Monday, and our powerpoints are due on Monday too!

Today was the trip. I have to admit when we first got there I was pretty nervous that the alarm would go of on one of us. But it turn out to be that we all did good through out the whole trip. I found it to be very introsting. What I liked the most was the models that they had . It showed me more of what things looked like. Looking at the things that belonged to people kind of scared me. It was so sad to see the things because it made feel like they were there. But the saddest thing for me was waching the vides.

Todays field trip was very interesting. Definetly something I will always remember. One of my favorite things that we did was when we went on the train and we actually got to see what it was like in there. It was so weird to know that people were acually in there. I enjoyed every momoent of it and I hope I get to go again. It was the best field trip:)

Today was a GREAT day!!!!! today was our Holocaust trip, and I had a remarkable time. I am soo glad that I had the opportunity to experience what the Holocaust was like. everything about the museum was fantastic, it was very informative. when we first arrived to the museum, I was a little nervous because the building looked like a prison. I thought the inside of the museum would look scarier than the outside. I enjoyed every little thing about the museum, especially the survivor that told us her story towards the end of the trip. I could tell the survivor was kind of struggling to tell her story, but she had the courage to continue on.

Today was a good class. we were supposed to start on Chapter 10 notes, but we didn't. our Holocaust trip is tomorrow, and I can't wait. I'm so excited, I have a feeling this is going to be an emotional and interesting trip.

Survival

if a person survival it was not a accident or luck . they person just did everything in his of her power to make it . even if it meant for them to steal ,buy,or get a hold of things they saw that would help them. if you worked in Canada they mean you can sneak in small items of food and clothes but it was there life if they got cough.

Soon our Holocaust trip is coming up soon, i can't wait i look forward to going and seeing the exhibit, i think it is going to be fun, but i also think that it is going to upset a lot of people as well.

Ingram, told us that chapter 10 was all about how the Jews were fighting back,how they didn't let the Nazi's keep treating them like that. The Jews had to fight back in order to free themselves. I think that this chapter will be the best one.

Angle of Death

Josef Mengle was well know ed as the death angle he would send a person to there death with a smile. Was know ed for the Jewish holiday calendar he would make his selections on the holidays of the Jews . He was the chief officer at Birkenau . He also used the Jews for his scientific project like trying to find out how twins was created. which was crazy . The doctors in the camps didn't heal they used there knowledge to murder

Ok so like i wasn't their, so i don't know what they were doing, but im sure i'll find out today

Another Crazy event in tha Holocaust

The Nazis was the type of people if it is not benefit them . they felt if the Jews were no longer strong enough to work they were worthless to them. They would make a selection every week sometimes it would take week and if they feel as if they not dying fast enough they would kill them by whole blocks. The Nazis would have SS doctors to come out and make the workers do physical actives then they would make there selections some times they would save people till they had enough people in the chamber ......... So people would have been weighting to die thats crazy

So, on wedsday I wasn't in class.So I really don't know what really happen. Since Ms. Ingrem wasn't in class either I know that we didn't do notes. Thank god because I don't like missing out on notes because theres a lot of good facts that we go over. Anways I hope the vocab and the quiz isn't that hard.

I actually liked chapter 10 because I actually got to hear stories of Jews actually fighting back and it's not something mentioned very much when talking about the Holocaust. Im curious if any of the speakers that we will be listening to on Tuesday did anything to fight back?.... What i found intersting was that Jews were already use to being persecuted since theyve been around so they thought that over time it would just go away like it had in the past.

OMG im super excited that Tuesday is almost here:). My mom is real jealous that we're going because she wanted to go also. But the bad part is that we don't have a school bus so we're gonna have to go in the school van and in Ms.Ingrams car. I hope its not too much of an uncomfortable ride b/c thats a pretty long ride.

I have cramps on my hand! It feels different because we have to write the notes and I think that I might pay more attention like that! I feel bad for the other guys because they are going to write all of the notes and we didn't! How many more chapters are we going to wirte?
I hope that the field trip is lots of fun!

It's been weird writing notes in class because we always got the powerpoint printouts.
But it's not that hard, I actually kind of like it because it's kind of like practice I guess for college.
Not that I write every single word down, I admit I don't, but a shorten it. I like outlining things the notes, I find it easier on both my brian and my hand :P

Wednesday

On Wednesday we worked on vocab, well at least I did! I missed you Ingram! I finished all of my vocab in class so I wouldn't have to bring it home! It is not like they were many words. It was not that hard if we read! Speaking of, I might have failed that reading quiz. For some reason, I blanked out it felt like I did not know what the questions were asking! Oh well next time I will have to read a few times! I think I might have to start on my power-point because I have some other work to do!

Thanksgiving week

This week was short but somehow we did lots of work! Monday we took notes on chapter nine! I am excited for the field trip, not only because we get out of class for the day, but we also get to see all the stuff. We will finally get a picture of all the things that we have been talking about! The only thing that I am iffy about is the security. Even with just a few girls, we better behave!

Well i know that on wednesday we had to take chapter ten reading quiz. But some of us werent their so we need to make it up on monday morning during class. I hear that chapter nine and ten was not lots of vocab. We need to be working on our novel project that is due next monday. We missed you Ms.Ingram at the feast.

On Tuesday we continued chapter nine power point. I cant believe the Doctor Joseph Mengele was known for experiments on Jews. He was called the angel of death. Why was he doing experiments on Jews why not on anyone else. Also chapter nine was about how they lived in the camps. Their daily life was being up at four in the morning after that it was labor time. I f you weren't up at four in the morning you could be killed.

Well people am satrting to blog from monday. Monday we began by taking chapter nine quiz. Yea i did good on teh quiz. then we began taking chapter nine power point notes super long. We had to write the notes down on our notebook. Our last novel is due on november 7th. At first i didnt know what a muselmanner was till Ms.Ingram said it was a muslim. I tought it was something else.

Today was a good class. we took the Chapter 10 quiz, and started on Chapter 9 and 10 vocabulary. we didn't do much today but the quiz and vocabulary. I liked Chpater 10 is a good chapter, especially when the part when the little boy was praying then slapped the Nazi. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!

Notes seem to get more and more introsteing each time. We did chapter 9 notes. Which mostly talks about how people live their lives during the whole Holocust. The men that really came up to my attention was the doctor. How he would just humilate people and how he would sent them to die. In my hurt I just can't imagine people like that. Or like the people who would use the jews as experiments. If the jews were the worst then why use them for such a thing?

Today was a good class, but it was also disturbing. It seem like everyday we talk about the Jews, there torture is getting worst and worst. Well we finished Chapter 9 notes today and tomorrow we will take the Chapter 10 quiz. I think I am going to like Chapter 10 because the title is "Fighting Back". I nChapter 9 we talked about Josef Mengele and how he would do surgery on Jews while they were wide awake. it is really horrible how they could treat the Jews like that, it's like they wake up every morning and go to their job which is torturing the Jews.

Today's class I found to be very introtesting.We took chapter 9 quiz. Which by the way the quiz had questions from chapter eight. We also started chapter 9 notes. There were many introtesting facts. Like how they would cut the jews hair and use it for something. I can't belive they would cut all of their hair off. I felt so bad for the women. Imagine if they were on their periods. I think that the women in those days had more to loose then thmen.

Today's class was a little disturbing. we talked about life in the camps, wow it's ironic how the Jews were treated in the camps. I mean they were givin clothes that couldn't fit them, and the clothes came from other Jews that were killed. they were given dirty/born water that was supposed to be coffee. I thought I wouldn't like this class,but I realized that it is a very interesting class. I only knew so little information about the Holocaust, but having the class everyday I'm learning each and everyday what they went through! I can't wait to go on the trip!!

Again, today was also a very heavy class. Hearing about life in the camps is terrible. It sounds so unbearable. I mean just hearing about it is terrible and unbearable and painful so I can only imagine what it must be like to be there. I'm excited to meet the Holocaust survivor and get to talk about it with them a bit. I've met Holocaust survivors but have never felt it would be appropriate to ask or mention it. I think it will be difficult to hear but also inspiring because years later they are still here.

Thursday

Ms. Ingram was telling us about the field trip and I'm pretty excited. There is only one problem the rules are pretty strict I can't believe we can't even wear jackets it's going to be December plus we have to wear our skirts and in school girls can wear their joggers. But I'm pretty excited to go.

Tuesday

I thought I did good on the test but I didn't so now I have to do corrections. I'm glad I I'm passing Holocaust. It was progress report and I'm passing all of my classes. We have to keep writing on notes and the slides are pretty long.

Monday

We started on chapter 8 and we have to write the notes down. Is the longest chapter of the book so imagine how much we have to write. Ms. Ingram just like to torture us.

I am looking forward to the trip that we have planned, but then again im not happy because they have to many rules, no cell phones, no metal, and no coats................i don't understand that no coats and it's the month of December.....the are so wrong.

When we were in class we talked about a lot of things.Hitler did these people so wrong and if he were here today i would want him to pay for everything that he ever did to the Jews, and any other religion that Hitler, and the Nazi's didn't support

Last week in class, we took notes because their wasn't any printed out power points. There were a lot of notes to write down.................I think it was like twenty something slides for that power point.My hands hurted really,really bad but it was worth it.

So i just finished reading chapter 9. I dont even know where to begin on the new horrific things that i learned in this chapter. I was in disbelief that between 3 or 4 people slept in those tiny blocks. also that it was only meant for 500 and it held 2,000!. A new thing that i learned in this chapter was called "sport" which meant that some inmates were chosen to do pushups in the mud and were shot when they dropped and they would also have to hold heavy stones over their heads until they were allowed to put them down. Also two or three jews were ordered to play "tag" and the one tagged would be killed for loosing the game! how humiliating!! I couldnt even believe what i was reading!

Im sooo excited to go visit the Holocaust museum. I think its cool like depending on how many people your taking in is based on the color you'll be wearing representing each group that was persecuted. we're wearing red whcih is for prisoners of war. The part im mainly looking forward to is getting to hear the speakers stories and time for questions. I hope its just our class that gets to be in the autitorium. Too bad we cant wear our joggers that day:(.

So, Ms. Ingrem is planning to take her Holocaust class to this museum. It seems really strict where we're going. I'm excited to go. But then at the same time a bit scared because I really get sentenmental with all these kind of things. I also hope that the weather isn't that sad or rainy. For one that wouldn't help and the other if its to cold people are going to freeze in their skrits.

The other thing I wanted to mention was that I was talking to my friend about the trip the other day and he was telling me that on the grand opening of the museum there were snipers on the roof. Ok that made me really upset. I don't understand how people can be so disrespectful and evil and ignorant, especially when there is so much proof that this absolutely happened and there is just no denying it. Denying it makes you just look like an ignoramus!! And trying to hurt people who are just trying to honor and remember people who died in a horribly unjust way makes you look like the devil! You know, in case any of them happen to read this which I doubt but who knows. I'm also excited that it is in Skokie because hopefully we'll get to explore it a little and I will get to show the class my hometown!!

Friday's class was really intense. I can't believe some of the stuff I heard. It is utterly despicable and makes me sick. I'm really glad that we're getting to go to the Holocaust Museum in Skokie though. That should be a really unforgettable experience.

I still need to read Ch. 9 for our quiz on Monday. I think that this fieldtrip that we are going to go to is going to be fun. I am just worried about all the security! I hope that WE behave. We need to show them what Tepeyac is really about :)! I hope that I don't start crying when we listen to this person who is going to talk to us! I feel like we are moving fast on these chapters. That also means a lot quizes!

this week!

This week we were taking so many notes! My wrist still hurts and I still need to copy the notes from friday! I finished the novel and it was the best one out of all the other novels we had to read. Honostly I just skimmed through the first one! I tried to read it but I ran out of time and I was not impressed with it! It was very boring, in my opinion!

Well we finished chapter eight power point.I never knew that the first concentration camp were existing jails.And that the concentration camps wereto small to have large numbers of people.Also Dachau was opened the year 1933. Many jews were arrested the year 1938.My question was if they were all color coded so they wont get mixed up.Why did they only have one women concentration camps.

Today was a good class period, we finally finished Chapter 8 notes. now I have to read Chapter 9 and get ready for the quiz on Monday. today's class period was kind of depresing, it was sad that the women's hair was cut off and used to put inside of gloves and socks. Himmler's quote was also a little sad, when the Nazis have taken all the Jews had.

Our Field Trip

We went over the basics of our field trip. I'm super excited! Class, I promise I won't act a fool. (Im notorious for it).

Today was a good class period, we talked about our upcoming Holocaust trip. when Ms.Ingram was telling us about it , I felt like I am going to be treated like one of the Jews. We are going to be seperated by colors, we have to basically where our uniforms, I know the trip is going to be worth it, so I won't exaggerate. I can't wait to go! now we continued Chapter 8 notes and I find it ironic that the Jews had soap that was made of fat or human's fat. it was also sad that those that survived had to take the dead bodies out of the gas chambers.

I was just thinking about how terrible and ironic it is that the Nazis cremated the Jews seeing as how cremation is against Jewish law. I think it's because the beginning of the bible talks becoming part of the earth again after death which is interpreted as people having to be buried. So I wonder if they did that knowing this information and if it made it even better for the disgusting Nazis.

I missed class today and it seems like I missed really good information. Chapter eight is a pretty long chapter with lots of information. But as I was reading the commens today what shocked me the most was how they tattooedthe jews. That most of been the worst thing they can come up with. It's just somthing that marks you for the rest of your life. I just can't imagine myself going through all that. I reather die right away then being tourger before they end up killing me anyway.

So, yesterday we had progress reports. Which by the way I though it would go worst. But I guess I got the hang of this class. The period didn't seem that long. We got the vocab for both chapters. Chapter seven vocab wasn't that long. But chapter eight was pretty long. But since we had a longer class period I gopt most everything done. So every thing well that day.

Today was a good class. we continued Chapter 8 notes today, but we have 25 slides. I don't think we are going to be finish anytime soon. While I was taking notes I found it to be interesting that the Jews were categorized by color, and some Jews had a number tattooed onto them. it was really sad that they weren't known by their names, but by a number.

Today was Progress reports and i liked my grade for Holocaust. Today we took our reading quiz it was pretty easy. I was suprised I remembered cause that was a loooong chapter! When I got hope I began reading the novel and I finished it. I thought Rutka was still alive! I didnt know she was sent to a gas chamber! It was sad.

Well this week we really havent done much.On monday we took chapter eight notes.Ms.Ingram gave us an extra day to read chapter eight.Thank you Ms.Ingram for that well also lets thank erica for making a commitment to keep quiet.Also we have a lot to finish coming down for chapter eight.Friday we took chapter seven notes.Omg i cant believe I have an A+ in your class.I passed my test as well.Yeay excited about my progress report.

ch 8 notes

Chapter 8 notes were blurry. It never fails or ceases to amaze me that no matter what the nazi's still did Heartless crap.

I thought Ms.Ingram was going to show our test but she didn't. That movie had some bad things when they showed that Jew naked and the old man I can't remember I think he was a Nazi and he still had pride. I thought all man that participated in the Holocaust or were Nazis they got arrested if they were still alive.

Test it was pretty long I hoped I passed. Another thing that I'm concerned is my bellwork. I did do so good I needed two bell works. But I'm good in Vocabulary.

We had to study because we had a test on Tuesday. We were watching that documentary it was a little bit interesting.

I'm nervous for progress reports!!!!

We had to write down chapter seven notes because Ms. Ingram wasnt able to print the notes out for us..Grr. Hopefully next week we dont have to do that again. The most disturbing thing I learned about while going through ch.7 is that inside the trains it was over crowded and sometimes the trips were for days and people had to use the washroom in buckets. If people werent able to make it to the bucket did they just do it on themselves or what? That was just horrible. i couldnt get over it.

Friday's Class

We took notes on Ch. 7's Deportation. The Nazi's put a bucket on the trains and the bad part about it was that the bucket sloshed around. it grossed me out and it was sad and unfair because the Jews are people and they have a right to be treated that way.

fRIDAY 13

We started on ch.7 and we finish it.. I think... Omg!!! we had to write those notes out but, it was cool because I wanted 2 write in my notebook...

Today was a great day! We started on Chapter 7 notes today, but we had to write them. It's cool though, The Jews were treated so badly it's ridiculous. they didn't have a bathroom, no food and water, they didn't have anything. Then just imagine using a bucket as the bathroom, along with 130 other people. I'm sure that isn't a very pleasant smell nor feeling!

One thing that I've also been thinking a lot about is how I've always learned about the Hlocaust in school through out the years, but I've always thought of the Holocaust as more in terms of concentration and death camps. I knew very little about the ghettos, and had no idea how terrible they were. The ghettoization, I've realized, is equally as terrible as the camps because there was always death there too. The Nazis were trying to not only kill, but dehumanize all of the Jews and make them believe that they were not important or worthy of anything. It's so sad but it makes me so happy to know that the Nazis did NOT win!!!!

The class is getting really interesting. Well actually its been very interesting. But I'm so shocked by some of the things that we hear. I thought I knew a lot about it but there's so much I'm constantly learning. It's exciting and hard to hear as well.

Crystal Night

Crystal night started in November 9 and 10, 1938. A thousandths were send to Concentration camps. They drink the blood or use it for religious rites. The valuable stuff from the Jews had to be turn to the Nazis.

The Nuremberg Laws

The Nuremberg law was passed in two parts "Law for the protection of German blood and German Honor" and " Reich Citizenship Law." Contains marriages between Jews and Germans. Citizenship Law that provides political rights. It was wrong that a Jewish doctor who gave his own blood to save a German was send to a concentration camp by supposedly polluting the nation. Jesse Owens was the world fastest man and won four metals Hitler walk away because he didn't want to shake a black hand man.

Today we whached a movie / documentry. I found the documentry very introtesting. Everyone seem to talk about their experiaces towrds the whole Holocaust. But there was one men in perticular that caught my attention. This men talked about how he didn't have no pitty towrds the Jews and that if could he would do it again. He said that up to this day he doesn't regret doing what he did. I couldn' belive this old men. Doesn't he know that everything you do in this world you pay for it. I really didn't like his comments and it really made me angry with the things he said.

The First concentration camp Dachau was opened to hold the Jews. Boycott to all Jewish businesses in Germany. Can you used spontaneous in a sentence.Now I have a little bit of info about Joseph Goebbels master of the Reich press, radio and propaganda. It wasn't right about what he did propaganda for saying "Do Not Buy from Jews whoever buys is a traitor. " This occur in April 1, 1933. It was mean placing the Jew sign around the hood. I found out that on April 7 the first Anti- Jewish was passed. What I didn't like that when they burn books in the end it is human being that they burn.

Hitler in power

Hitler became chancellor in January 30, 1933. From the speech he did was clear about he going to do with the Jews Get Rid. One thing that I wasn't cool with it was the board game named " Get the Jews out" because they used to taught children's' from an earliest yrs to stay from Jews. I don't agree about Germany having a constitution and laws because if they were they wouldn't treat bad the Jews. Ten to eighteen required to join the Hitler youth both genders. When It came to the test I got confused when you asked about the Enabling Act now I know that is called the law for terminating the suffering of the people and nation. Meaning violating the law.

We went over chapter two. About the reading was that Hitler did the most to bring people to the Nazi party. Hitler represents as the one man with answers like to say German leader. I don't get what the word "lieutenant" mean?. A quote that got me thinking was about what George Zeidler said "Hitler, you're our man. Talk like a human being.... well is a good complement for him but, as further result he ain't nice.

Today we watched a movie about the Auschwits. It was a very interesting movie, there was a certain scene in the movie that I thought was quite crazy. the interviewer interviewed an S.S man, and while she was asking him questions you can tell he had no sympathy at all for the Jews he was killing. I found that to be sad because if someone treated him like that he wouldn't be pleased about that!!!

Starting off

Yea. I realize I haven't done my blog entries like for a week or three. Now I have to do a lot so I could bring my grade up. I forgot the week I haven't blog , but I'm starting to talk about the week of Oct 12.

Aushwits

Today we watched a movie/documentay on Aushwits. It was interesting but in way it was wierd because it technically is a movie, but it has the narration of a documentary.

Today we took a test on the last couple of chapters we have read. I did found it a bit difficult. I guess it was because I wasn't in class yeterday to study. Over all I though the test wasn't going to take up the whole period. But I'm glad that I got to finish just a couple of minutes before the bell wrong. Tomorrow we start another chapter. Least how how it goes with tis one.

I just finished reading chapter seven and I thought it was so mean the way the Nazis would lie to the Jews in order to get them to turn themselves in. One of the meanest things I read that they did was Nazis would announce that they needed several hundred educated and young jews for record keeping work and that thousand of Jews showed up for that "position". Thats horrible! I can't even imagine how it must feel so betrayed and feel helpless cause you cant do anything about it.

The test for the most part was easy. It was alot of writing my hand hurt. But ugh there were like 2 or 3 questions that i wouldn't remember the answer to. I was mad but over all I think I did pretty well. Ugh and tomorrow theres another reading quiz!

It's been awhile hasn't it? Ya thought ol' Ziggy wouldn't see ya'll again. lol Anyways, I Think I failed the test because I barely studied and even If I did, I'd still be nervous to take.

Today was a good day! well we took the Chapter 3-6 test today and turned in our notebooks. I hope everyone did well on their tests. I'm glad that it's over, but it was kind of easy. tonight for homework we have to read Chapter 7 and we have a quiz tomorrow.

Well yesterday we reviewd for the test for today.Ms.Ingram went over for everything that was going to be on the test.Today tuesday she colleceted our notebooks.We handed in our study guide for the test.I think i did ok on test not sure.It was not only on one specific chapter it was on chapters three-six.Ms.Ingram passed back our notebooks.Tonight for homework we need to read chapter seven on deportation.We have our reading quiz tomorrow on what we read for tonight.

Today was a pretty good day, and today was shadow day. we have a test tomorrow on Chapters 3-6, so we went over what Chapters 3-6 were going to be on. I don't have to alot to blog about today, it's just short and simple today....Well I hope everyone study hard and do well on the test!!

The power point is due and I'm so happy I turned in early. The first time I turn in something early.Thursday it was a normal day not too important to talk about.
Friday was really special after this class I could go home but I was in a hurry to turn in questions that i had to do first period.

We took chapter 6 quiz and i did good. I'm done with the power point I'm so happy. Chapter 6 was a very interesting story.

Monday

Finishing my power point and let me tell you this. The girl in the red coat was way better then the ghetto diary. We had to take chapter 5 quiz and I think I did good. We start The Final solution and is a pretty sad story.

I finally got the second book review out of the way...This book that we have to read now seems very interesting...;Can't wait to see what happens next....

I am very nervous about the test that we are going to have.......I don't know what to expect..............I hope that is isn't going to be to hard.

I really want to learn about the the ending of the holocaust. How everything came to an end and people were kind of able to live freely. I ready to not hear about a certain group or race being killed by someone higher than them that thought that they thought didnt deserve to live.

When read chapter 6 last week it was so brutal. The germans were killing people because they were sick or had a dissability. They didnt even care really about what the women did as long as they had children. If men were homosexuals they were either killed forced be straight or they put a pink scarf to show they were homosexals. Talking about hard times they had it bad.

I am so glad to finally be done with reading and making the powerpoint on the book. I mean the book wasnt bad at all but it just took a long time to read. Im just glad i dont have to worry about trying to read that book any more. Finally I have a time of stress relief until we have to hand in the next powerpoint. Other than that the book was interesting and very good to read.

Ugh on Tuesday will be our test. Im kind of worried because there wont be a study guide to study from and for me personally really helps me do good. Im worried cause what if i study something too much and that wont even be asked on the test and something that I dont spend alot of time looking over pops up. Oh and the new novel that we're supposed to be reading came into the mail already:). I hope it's not like Ghetto Diary.

Our chapter 6 quiz was easy I thought it was gonna be harder. All that reading paid off cause i liked my grade on it. Something that kept me laughing was then they said one of the reasons they didn't put a stop to women being lesbians was because they wouldnt be able to resist a healthy aryan! ;D That was one of the most ridiculous things i've ever heard.

We took Ch. 6 quiz. It was pretty easy, I got an excellent grade. It sucks that the homosexual had to wear the pink triangle on themselves. I've been studing for the chapters we are going to have a test on. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's class.

On Tuesday, it was pretty boring because Ingram wasn't there for most of the class. In the meantime, I was thinking of what to blog. After that, I began reading "The Girl in the Red Coat". Then Ingram came in. By that time, class was almost over.

Friday, went well. The day seem to go by pretty fast and so did these past chapters. We finished ch 6. Which was mostly about homosexuals. Ms. Ingrem told us how they would cut the gay men's pineses. I felt so bad because they did it in such a harmful and painful way. They didn't nomb them for anything. So that must of really hurt them. So now that we have finished these couple of chapters we're going to have a quiz on Tuesday.

Today was a good day, we finished our Chapter 6 notes today. Chapter 6 was basically about the victims that had rights/laws against them, like the homosexual men and the gypsies. for homework we have to do Chapter 6 vocab. I found it so interesting that the homosexual men used the color pink, so other people knew they were gay.

Yea my last blog for the week.Wednesday we had to turn in our projects.Ms.Ingram said everyone turned it in for the first time.Yesterday we took our reading quiz for chapter six.Also we stated our chapter six notes.The notes were about gypsies which were called Romanies.Also homosexuals were called the Gay Men.Chapter six was pretty much about all the Victims.For homework this weekend we had to do vocabulary chapter six due Monday.

On Tuesday we finished chapter five notes.We did last section of chapter five which spoke about Reinhard Heydrich.He taught people liked him but they really didn't like him.Because he was like the government.We had to finish our Papers or power point for the novel.We also took our chapter five reading quiz.It was kind of hard but i did good in the quiz.

Well this week we began chapter five.Chapter five was about The final solution.The invasion of Russia was June 22 1941 and it was going well.I didnt know that the concentration camps were all located in Poland.why werent some concentration camps located in Germany.What was the issue with that.Ms.Ingram checked our chapter four and five vocabulary that was due on monday.We pretty much when over chapter five power point

Today we took our ch 6 quiz. The chapter wasn't that long. We also got started on ch 6 notes. Which by the way their not that long. I think we'll go through them pretty fast. Anyways this chapter talked about how the Nazis would kill those who weren't normal. Also babies that were deform. I felt so bad for these people because no one should be put through all of this.

Today was a good day! our powerpoints were due yesterday, and I hope everyone turned theirs in. we started Chapter 6 notes today. I think it was wrong for doctors to select incurably sick Germans so they would be killed, and how they killed over 3,000 children.

We got back our reading quiz today:) I was happy with it. Ugh but tomorrow theres another reading quiz. Im worried about that one because this chapter is kinda long. Something that I found interesting in todays power point is that there was never a written document signed by Hitler that he approved the conference. I wonder what happened to those documents....

So, today we got back on notes. While Ms. Ingrem was telling us how people would kill the Jews it made think about that. When she told us how they would drop this gas into one of the pipes in one of the concentration camps, so that they could get ride of more Jews that way. I felt like when you spray things to kill the insects that are inside your house. I just can't imagin how these people had the courge to do this. Even though the people did this the jews were still alive. Sure they might of killed millions, but that didn't help Jews were still alive. Its like when you kill insects you might kill some, but you will never get ride of them all.

Today was a pretty good day. our powerpoint/paper is due today and I hope everyone finish theirs and turn it in. The Girl in the Red Coat turns out to be more interesting than I thought, which is a good thing! I hope the next Holocaust class will be able to read this book too.

Overall I ended up liking the book, it was interesting and sad at the same time.

It was wierd having Ms. Ingram gone and absolutely no teacher except for Jamieson's quick appearances. But either way it gave me time to catch up on the reading. I have to say this book is amazing. It's so sad but it's really interesting and I haven't been bored at any point while reading this. Great choice Ingram!

Well, today was very different from every other day. We really didn't do anything because Ms. Ingrem wasn't in class. So many of us worked on stuff that we had to get finished. When Ms. Ingrem came in she gave us until 12am for our power points tomorrow. I guess she saw how hard we were working. Thanks Ms. Ingrem.

On Monday

The quiz we took on Ch. 5 was pretty easy. The invasion was a success for the Nazis. It was difficult for the Nazis to keep the mass killings a secret so it took more time to carry out the "Final Solution". It's crazy how the Nazis planned everything well. They knew not to have mass killings i Wester Europe because Anti-semitism wasn't as strong. If mas killings were to take part in Western Europe, people living there might help the Jews.

Today was a good day! we weren't able to finish Chapter 5 notes, so we were basically working on our book review. I am almost finish with my book review, I just have a few more slides to go. I'm glad Ms.Ingram let us turn in our book reviews by midnight, that'll give me enough time to look over it and make sure everything okay before I turn it in. Thanks Ms. Ingram!

I haven't blogged in forever! Chapter 5 is very short but very sad. So I find it ironic that it is so short. Especially because it is so important in that it goes over the Nazi's "Final Solution" where they decided to set up concentration camps to exterminate the Jews. I find all of this hard to take in and just overall really disturbing.

Today we took the ch. 5 quiz. It was like ch. 4 not very long. I think its easyer to remember things when the ch. isn't that long. The notes weren't that long either. It seems like were moving on pretty fast. I just hope the next chapters aren't that long. I seem to do better that way when there not that long.

Today was a pretty good day today! We took the Chapter 5 quiz today, and I think I did pretty good on the quiz too. I noticed Chapter 5 is a very short chapter, it's like 4 or 5 pages. I also like reading The Girl in the Red Coat, it is more interesting than The Ghetto Diary.

Morning Ladies!

I didn't get to check the blog last week, so I just finished checking two weeks worth of writing. I think I told you that you didn't have to blog for last week because it was a short week. But many of you did your blogging, so I will count it as extra credit! :) I'm enjoying some of the interaction between students--specifically Erica Reyes and several of you. I wish more of you would get into this type of dialogue with each other. One it helps you to get your opinions out there and, two, it gets you EASY EXTRA CREDIT POINTS!!!!

On the downside, there are 9 of you--almost 1/2 the class!--who are NOT BLOGGING. This affects your grade and you've got to get on the blogging!

Also wanted to comment on those of you who commented on the Exam and study guide begin "almost identical"! LOL. They WERE identical except for 1 question I pulled! :) Sadly, you won't get that lucky on any other tests this quarter--I will MAKE SURE to have enough time to create a study guide for you that doesn't look like the test. :) Love you!!!!

Ingram

The book that we have to read the girl in the red coat seems to be a pretty good book so far.It's not like the ghetto diary book,it's much better.

The Nazi's would kill these women and children and drop their bodies in the ditch.But before they did that the men had to dig the ditch them they were killed.After the Nazi's had done this the would pour some type of liquid on the bodies, then covered the ditch up.People from the town said the the earth moved,but that was only because of the dead Jewish bodies.

On the last day that we were here we finished the few slides that we had left. We talked about how the Nazi's, would come and get the Jew(Men and little boys)and would make them dig their own graves. I did not like that, after digging their graves they would make them stand on the edge on the ditch and would shoot them down.They did this so that after they shoot them they would fall right into the ditch.

The last day we had class was mostly notes. I remember finishing them. God it seems so long we had class that I could hardly remember what we did. The thing I remember the most was about the Jews. They had to dig out their grave and most of them had to get naked in the cold before dying. I felt so bad for them especally for all those little kids.

Wednesday

On Wednesday, we didn't really do much because it was Halloween for us. We finished the last slide show on Ch. 4. It's crazy that Himmler said that all Jews are to be exterminated without exception. Still,m the Nazis are not satisfied because the killings are moving too alow, the ammunition is needed at the front, and mass murder are too hard on the murderers.

Tuesday

On Tuesday, we began Ch. 4 ppt. It's sad how the Jews had to dig their own graves, then they were killed. The mobile killing vans were bad because the people had a slow, painful death. It's crazy how the ordered police challenged to see who killed the most Jews during their Jew Hunt.

Monday

I can't really say anything about Monday because I was only in class for about the first 15 minutes. I went recruiting.

I don't like that in the beginning she's very bratty, but then again she has a right to be. She had everything taken from her. All she has now is her grandma....who gets taken away :/
Her parents both worked so she hardily seen them. It's horrible that a child had to witness the pain that everyone was in. Poor girl was robbed of her innocence :[

Wed.

Wednesday made me sad because we watched this video and it showed pictures of how the Nazi's would exterminate a towns worth of Jews and other innocent people. It was humiliating and just plain wrong what the Nazi's did. The Nazi's had no respect for anyone. It makes me want to build a times machine, go back in time and run over all the horrible Nazi's with a monster truck >:/

Tuesdayyyy :]

On tuesday we took a quiz on the chapter we were suppose to read, and I passed :]
The Holocaust seems to be reaching that point that's hard for me to accept actually happened.
Thinking that people actually have the nerve to torture people, even worse that it was a whole country of people torturing innocent people who's only fault was being born to the parents they had.

In Chapter thing one of the most disturbing things I read was that after Reinhard Heydrich was killed in honor of him the extermination on the Jews of Poland was given the name of Operation Reihard! He is a man who is the farthest thing away from important I cant believe he would be given an honor like that.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Holloween:). Well I was very happy with my grade in this class and I hope I continue getting a good grade. On Monday we're having a reading quiz and I hope I do good because I need to make up for it because of the last reading quiz. From the vocab that we had for h.w the man known as "the blond beast" just makes me mad. Based on the picture of him in the book you can right away tell he was so cold hearted.

On wensday we looked at a video involving chapter four.I cant get over the fact that there was so much going on in chapter four.The order police had special task aside from the other things they had to do.There was actual regular army tehy believed that they did not participate in the activities order.

Well on tuesday we took a quiz on chapter three.Chapter three quiz was hard so i failed.Then Ms.Ingram gave us the power point on chapter four.To be honest chapter four was very short.I cant believe we finished in a day.I couldnt believe that the special action group had to follow behind the german army.Why did they not trust the german army.

Monday we were supposed to have a quiz but we didnt because we didnt finish chapter three.So we finished chapter three power point.And Ms.Ingram gave us an extra day to read chapter four.Well i didnt read chapter four so i failed the quiz.Chapter three was the longest power point.Am glad chapter four is very small we finished in a day yay.

This week was short, nothing new! We finished chapter 4 and we now have to do the vocab. I finished the vocab for chapter 4 and 5. I still have to finish reading chapter five and the novel! That is due tis week! I had fun on Wednesday, dressing up was fun! I was talking to my cousin about April 30th. I told her how that was a devil's holiday and how it connected with Hitler's death. The reading quiz we took was hard because, well I didn't read! I knew I made a mistake but I was just stressed out with other things. I need to start reading the books!

Wednesday.

It wasn't like any other day we could wear our costumes and it was interesting looking at other girls costume. We continued with chapter 4 notes then Ms. Ingram gaved us chapters 4 and 5 vocab for homework not too manywords. I hope for chapter 5 quiz i read carefully and get a good grade on my quiz.

Tuesday

We took the chapter 4 quiz and it was not pretty. The reading is interesting but when it comes to quizes it's not that interesting. Happy because we were done with Ch. 3 and now go to chapter 4. It's really short.

Monday

On Monday i was nervous because I thought we had a quiz so I just read for nothing. Monday was a regular day finish chapter 3 notes. I looked over the calendar and Tuesday we have our Ch. 4 quiz.

Ive been meaning to blog earlier on in the week but theres been so much h.w I havent really got the chance. Ugh and im so mad because of this weeks reading quiz that we got back. I read so many times and I still cant believe I didnt do good! I hope to do better on Mondays reading quiz.

Class today was great ... i really learned a lot i didn't think that the Germans took things that fare in kills of the Jews ...... They was really cold hearted they made dig there own ditch without them even knowing what was going on .... they even found a way to make a movable gas chamber which is something i never heard about . That was so mean i cant even see how people can live with them self's for doing others like that ...

Today was a good day. we took a quiz on Chapter 4, I think i did pretty good on that quiz. Chapter 4 is really short, and only 2 pages unlike the other notes that we've had on Chapters 1-3.

Today went well. We took a quiz on ch. 4. Which was really short. It was so short that it was only two pages of notes. We almost finished with the notes today in class. We just need one more slide for tomorrow. Seems like we moving on pretty fast. Good thing we start ch. 5 next week.

We got our notes back. After Ms Ingrem lost all her stuff she seem to recover everything she lost. And I do mean everything even the things she had already deleted. Anyways we finish with ch. 3. What I found introsting about this ch. was how the Nazi also killed the jews who smuggle food into the ghetto. Not only that but the people who helped them even if they weren't jew. The only people who would get punished but not killed were the Nazi.

Today was a great day! Now that exams are over I don't have to worry about being nervous for any tests/exams. We've completed Chapter 3 today, and will begin Chapter 4 tomorrow. We also watched a movie that was very sad, I don't remember the name of it. It was so sad how this woman was explaining how the Germans smashed and killed her bird until it was dead. Just listening to her pain and watching her re-tell that story, was really touching!

Holocaust

Well our Exams are over,but their is still much to come. i hope that i did well in my classes,i'll have to wait and see very nervous.

Holocaust Movie!!!!

The Video that we watched had me feeling bad for the people who had to go through all that ridiculous treatment.I don't feel that the Jews should have gone through all of that pain and suffering because of a group of people who did not like them. But to i was very happy that the people who were talking about this made it out safely, although many didn't.

The video we watched was very touching i hate the fact that the Nazi's did that to those Children. In the Movie, the man talked about how a letter came to him house and it said that one of their Children had the chance to get on this boat and sail off to safety.He said that he chose to send his little sister because he felt that,that was the right thing to do.Then a second letter came, and said that another child could come, and get on this boat, this time he went, and he said that his father took him and when it was time to leave.He looked at his father,and they both knew that they were never going to see each other again.

This story so far is a lot easier to read than Ghetto Diary.
I like it so far and I'm glad Ms. Ingram gave us more time to work on it so I don't have to rush through reading it :]

The movie

The movie/documentary we saw made me really sad and it was hard to watch.
But it was interesting all at the same time.
In the end I'm glad that the people in the documentary were able to get escape the Holocaust so that they could be one of the few to share their stories with the world.

Exam and Study Guide

I did both, well most of the study guide.
The test looked reeeaally familiar [;
I tried hard on it and it pretty much paid off.
I passed :D
Hopefully I what I did of the study guide is enough to boost my grade even if it's just a little bit.
I'm nervous for my final grade though :/

I really hate that the jews were put in nasty ghettos. How they really didnt have any room to put their belongings or even move around. It wrong how they were all of a sudden just kicked out of Germany with only the things they could carry.im really glad we do not have to go through what the jews had to go through.

I was so happy that I passed my Holocaust exam. I was kind of worried that I wasn't going to pass because I forgot some of the things that were on the study guide to answer the questions on the exam. I really hope I continue to do good in Holocaust and pass quizes and test.

The video in Holocaust class was very interesting on Friday. I thought it was going to be very boring but I learned some things. I thought it was sad how they used babies as target practice. Also how women were experimented on by the nazi or how they wasnt taken as real people.

On Friday when Ms.Ingram said we were going to watch a video I was thinking it was going to be really boring and I wasn't looking forward to it at all. But when we got to see that it was a documentary on survivors of the Holocaust and they were actually telling their story I bacame interested. The story that i liked the most was about the boy who got a chance to be saved after his sister. It was so sad when the boy knew that from the moment when he got on the train he wasn't ever going to see his father again. I thought that was so sad and I wouldnt even know what to have done if i was In any of those kids positions. They were so brave and I dont know If I would have been able to be that strong and brave.

So, Friday was a crazy day. I though we were going to do the same as everyday, take notes. Instead Ms. Ingrem had us watch a documentry. This was because she lost all her stuff on her computer. I though it was pretty funny. Anyways the video was very sad. I felt so bad for all those kids who weren't save. Hopefully by tomorrow Ms. Ingrem has everything back.

I was happy and relieved to see my exam grade. It was the class I was most worried about on Tuesday. Also Thank God I did good on Wednesday's reading quiz. I hope I do just as good on Mondays reading quiz. Again Ms. Ingram gave us a little more time to work on our reading project.:)

The Ghettos!

So the Ghettos were nasty! They were very dirty, crowded and depressing. When we were talking about how many people lived in a Ghetto Apartment, it seemed like they had no privacy. I would hate to live there! If i had to take whatever I can carry in my arms I think I would take clothes and Sanitary Napkins!! ;) That must suck for the women! Well I think that if I lived in that time I would want to just die and not live through all the drama!

ON Wednesday and Thursday, we began the chapter 3 power point. It's crazy how Germany took over Poland in less than a month. Lodz Ghetto was the first made for the Jews. The Ghettos were unsanitary, run down, and over crowded.The walls were made from tombstones cemeteries that separated the Jews from the others. The Jews had to pay so the walls could be built.

On Tuesday, I was worried I was going to fail. When I saw the test, it looked very similar to the study guide. While I was taking the test, I got confused with the vocab.
Reading Chapter3 really upset me. i was shocked by the amount of food Jews were given each week. I felt bad when a boy got caught smuggling and was dying slowly because hes back bone was crushed. It was absurd how Orthodox Jews had their facial hair removed Nazi would cut them off with a bayonet, yanked them out to the root. and lit them in fire.

On Monday, I was happy that Ingram let us work on our study guide. It was very helpful I was pretty worried about the exam.

Exam!

The exam was very similar to the study guide! I know I could have done better than what I got. I have started on my reading! I think that this book is better than the other one! The reading quiz was somewhat easy but I do not understand why I got some of it wrong! Ugh well next time I have to pay more attention to the details! Ingram gave us an extra week for our paper. I am happy because last weekend I was worried about the exams, I did not read much of the book! I should get started on that! :)

Well the week ended great.We seen a video today and it was nuch more intresting than any other video.Notes for chapter three was all review.We are still not done.chapter three was about the ghettos being established. Also about starvation and cold.Jews were forbidden to leave the ghetto without a permit.Many workers smuggeld whatever they were able to smuggle.Jews were crammed into ghettos.

WELL class on tuesday was horrible.The exam was hard i mean i realy didnt study.It was just like the study guide but was still hard.Hope am not in AA.The reading quiz seemed easy if you read the chapter.It was sad how they were treated.The vocabulary was not hard.

Ingram

Todays test I flet pretty confident. The part that kind of messed me up was when it came to the laws. Those are some pretty long names thats why it was hard for me to remember them. I hope tomorrows quiz is easy because i want to start off the quarter well.

Man today's test was everything on the study guide. When Ms. Ingrem took my study guide and handed me the test it was like starting all over. I did find it difficult because there was no multiple choice. There were to many things to remember. I really felt stress out with al these tests. But thank God there all over. Hopfully I'm not in AA.

In class today we had the entire time to do study guides.We were in small groups and that helped out a lot.Also we went over our week and it seems pretty packed.We love you Ms.Ingram for giving us a extra week to work on our Book review.Also i hope the test and study guide are very similar.Well am getting back to studying so i can pass my exam.

Class

In class we had the entire period to work on our study guides or read one of our books or even work on one of our other study guides for another class. But of course it is always good to work on the study guide of the class that your in...............HI INGRAM.....:- )

Class

In class on Friday we just went over our study guides. it's a very long study guide to but we have to do it right.can't wait until these exams are over.

Friday's class went well. We got to work on our study guides. Which was a good think. I took my time wisely and got a lot of it finish. Although I seem to have trouble fining the vocab. Its just that it all seem the same. Hopefully the test goes well. Which by the way I'm nervous.

Im mainly worried about this exam tuesday. Just about the vocab though. everything else should be fine.Thank God we had the weekend to study some more. Im still reading the novel and the whole time im reading it I just put myself in Roma's position and I think about what I would have done. Reading this book made me realize just how dangerous and scary Jews lived.

Friday's class was okay. I'm glad that Ingram let us work on our study guides. It was very helpful. I'm a bit worried about the exam, but i'm trying my best. Hopefully class tomorrow goes well.

Thursday's class went well. I learned a lot of things that Jews could not do. Once Kristallnacht was over, the Jews had to pay for all the damages. The Jews were given the silliest rules. Jews couldn't own radios, phones, pets, nor go to barbers/beauty salons and buy flowers. Even Jewish children six and older had to wear the Jewish star visible on thier clothing. A month later, Jews were forbidden to leave thier homes without permission. It's ridiculous that at one point "Jewish" pets couldn't not mate with "Aryan" pets.

Monday's class went well. We continued to review chapter 2. It's cruel that Jews could no longer work and were fired from their jobs, which led to financial problems and difficult to support their families. The Nuremberg Laws were harsh. Jews couldn't be married nor have any kind of relationship with a German or German blood related. Jews couldn't even have the German flag. Men had to add Isreal to their name and women had to add Sara, if their name wasn't recognized as a Jew. Jewish businesses had to be registered to the government, then had to be sold cheaply or given to a non-Jew. On Jews identity card, they had to have a "J" or "Jude" stamped on thier clothing.

We recieved the book this week and I was skimming through and it seems better. I heard this one is more interesting than the Ghetto Diary one. I hope this one has more interesting stories. I am going to start reading it tonight to see how it is. I am still stressing out because o four exam!

This Exam!!

Okay I am Very scared because I heard that the exam is just like the study guide. I hope that Ingram doesn't change anything because I would really want to just study the study guide like that. I hope that all of us do well on it bacause I think that it will bring many of us down. I guess I really care for me the most. As long as I don't panic, I will be fine! :)

I was very upset when I heard that the animals wer also being discriminated! I don't see how little animals can do anything wrong, like kill Hitler. I am glad we finally finished chapter two notes this week. For some reason, it was taking us for ever! It seems like we havn't had a full week of class! I am very scared for this exam. I hope I pass it without any problems!!

Am glad we finished chapter two notes.I really liked that we had the time to study together on friday.I cant believe that even the Jewish and the german dogs couldnt be together.I think that is stupid.How do they know who is what.Our exam is on tuesday i hope everyone passes.So we need to study.

WELL this week was pretty crazy.On tuesday and wednesday we have no class.Omg the study guide is pretty long.The great thing is that its extra credit yea. But i am going to hope to finish it and start studying tonight.Also i got the book i am beginning to read it. It seems better than the other one.

Im almost done with my Holocaust study guide:) Im glad we have the whole weekend to study for this exam cause i need all the time i can get for this class. Im still reading the novel & i still love it. I hope to atleast get through half of it this weekend.

Today we fianlly finished ch two notes. I can't believe that there were jewish and polish animals. Ms. Ingrem said that not even them could be together. I though it was pretty dumb. But kind of funny on how the people back in the day though. After all class went well I'm glad that the study guide is extra credit.

Thursday

I'm really happy because we are finish with chapter two. I hope I pass the exam I really need to study I have plenty of time.

Monday

Monday was a normal day for me. We went over notes trying to finish chapter two. By the way I have a complain it was shadow day and there were two shadows and they got me on my nerves. Anyway Ms. Ingram pass the study guides and it doesn't look really bad. That was all for Monday.

I'm a LITTLE Behind!

I just finished looking over the blogs from LAST week! Thanks to everyone who did what they needed to do! BUT there was nothing from Berducido, Jelly, Ariel and Maya!!!!!!! Not good you four!

Ingram

Today we also didn't have class because of wellness day. Which by the way it was pretty introsting. I really felt that I got to learn a lot about myself. The people really seem nice and tried to answer your question the best way they could. I guess that we will see each other until Thursday.

So, yesterday I was absent. I really don't know how things went. Rather or not we took notes or how long is the study guide. Since their was people with shadows. Hopefully things didn't go as far because it seems since forever that Ibeen in that class.

My book The girl in the Red coat finally came in. I started reading it a little while ago and all I can say is that I love it already. It's so sad that a girl as small as she is knows so much. Its also cute but also sad how innocent and curious Roma's questions are. Ms. Ingram made a good choice picking THIS book. Something that struck me was that Roma said that her grandmother described to her what a bunny looked like but she hopes to one day see a bunny. I never really knew how much of someones child hood was taken away until i started reading this book.

I'm sad I missed the class today...

yeah, yeah what is up?! It's Ziggy back on the crazy train. I know I've missed like five blogs so I'm coming back.

This week seems like it will be a great one. We kept on going over the power point for chapter two. Its crazy how the nuremberg laws worked.I never knew if your grandparents were Jews then you were a Jew.Even if you called yourself a Jew then you were a Jew.The picture in the power point was it talking about the Germans or who was it talkin about.The study guide was very long but at least it's for extra credit.

Wednesday

Our papers were do but, thanks that you gave us till midnight. Thursday no class yup college fair. It was great I had time to talk to the rep. Friday Juniors retreat it was great. Saturday do homework and reap Ch.3 but, I quite didn't get what it said. Sunday try to finish my studyguides from my other classes. Hopefully you give us ours tomorrow.

Tuesday

I think this is only the day we took a break over notes. That's great. Great that we were in a group and we had a change to talk about it and have discussions over it.

Monday

Basically on Monday at the beginning went well going thru the fun activities the girls did during the weekend.Finally, a lot of notes Ms. Ingram when are we going to finish talking about Hitler the notes are so boring.

I'm glad we are done with the Ghetto Diary. It was a very confusing and boring book. Hopefully the other book is interesting and not confusing. Im' looking forward to tomorrow's class, especially since it's shadow day. I hope we don't have to learn about Hitler anymore because he's just full of himself and doesn't make sense.

Ingram gave us a powerpoint on Ch. 2. We gave to review on this chapter again. I learned a lot about Hitler's childhood. Now I know why Hitler was the way he was. It's ironic how he was involved in many battles, but wasn't hurt. When he was badly injured, he didn't die. After everything he went through, he was still alive. I guess that's why he thought he was like a "God". He's crazy because he wanted to go to war on the holidays and on days he wasn't suppose to go.

Last week's class was okay, even though it was short. I'm very happy Ingram extended the deadline for the ppt/paper. That was very helpful. When it came down to writing the ppt, it was pretty easy. It was kind of Ingram to give us time during class to work on the pplt/paper. Rather than, take notes and go over her ppt.

Well, on Friday we didn't have class. For one the Jrs had their retreat and we had big sister little sister. So their was no reason to move on without the other half of the class. Which I feel that we haven't had class since forever. Hopfully Ms. Ingrem gives us our study guides this week because I feel that this test is going to be hard. So that way I have time to study.

I feel like I haven't blogged in forever! I need to get on this...the class is going well but I'm kind of nervous for quarter exams!!

Quarter exams are next week. Holocaust is actually one of the classes im worried about. Only beause I know Ms.Ingram gets really specific with dates and names and thats what worries me. I already ordered me other novel I can't wait to start reading it:).

Even though the powerpoints we've been going through in class are very long for the most part its interesting. Something interesting that i learned on Thursday that the reason Dachau was built was people from prisons were trying to escape and jails were starting to get over crowded. Its scary that the people living in Germany were basically helpless. Like i cant even imagine how that would feel like because not even the police could be depended on for protection.

When I heard about it last year I wanted to go so bad, but I heard they were all booked :/
So I'm glad Ingram called sooo much ahead of time for us :D

Ghetto Diary

This story had me very confused and I had to look up a lot of things to understand it.
But I still did my project in time :]
In the end I really appreciate what Korczak did, it makes me want to be more like that.
It makes me want to help out those in need more like he did.
He even died with them when he had the chance to leave, I know most people would do that too, but only so many are remembered :/
Korczak is one of the lucky ones to have been discoverd.

Chapter 3

This chapter was baout where the Jews were living during the times of the war. The ghettos were very "poor" living.THe Jews had a regulsr life style. They worked and lived with eachother. This chapter discribed how the religious men dressed. The three reasons why the Germans made the Jews were because there were too many of them. Another reason is because the land was very vast. In other words, the land was very seperated. The Germans believed that a good way to use that space was to create the Ghettos. It was not a very interesting chapter.

Hmm...

It's kind of hard to remeber what we did this week because it went by real fast. But I do remeber we talked about Hitler....a lot. :/
Hitler's creepy and the perfect person for the job he did.
It seems like no other spoiled brat would have been able to really start what he had started.
It impressed me how he rose from lame to fame.
Then again I guess it was his destiny to do what he does, and ours to realize the hate to the Jews is simple stupidity and they nothing different from anyone else.
I know maybe it shouldn't have taken 6million people to die for us to realize that, but then again think about it, how long has the hate gone on.
Maybe God was saying "fine you hate them so much, I'm sending Hilter" and then we all took it back.

I was reading chapter three today and it seemed pretty interesting because it talks about the Ghettos.It talks about what the Jews did in there cities.Also talks about what the most religious men wore in a rgular bases.It explained some diseases that were making people sick.Also talked about all the smuggling going on in the ghettos.Chapter three seems very long.

Well this week was very short.I was very stressed in your class becuase of the book review due.That book was very borng.Well i should say it had its parts some parts were intresting some were not.Also we had lots of notes about Adolf Hitler.The chapter two power point was not bad.And it was pretty much talking about the important parts of the chapter.

I am glad this week was short. It was much better when the presentation was turned in. I felt a lot of wheight that just came off of me! I think that we are getting to the interesting parts. I hope that the next two books are more interesting.

This week was very stressful. I really think that the book was boring. I can recall many times that I fell asleep reading a few pages. I guess the outline of the story was meaningful but the words, were boring. The fact that he was very caring and loving to the kids really toughed my heart. A few times while reading the book, I would forget what it was talking about. :) I am just glad that I turned in my presentation and don't have that on my mind anymore. I am selling that book and not hinking about it anymore!

Thank God that reading project is over! That book was sooo boring but im glad its over and done with. Hopefully next book will be more exciting. Im glad this week ended quickly:).

I don't have say this but is true we always have notes in Holocaust. It's fine with me but it gets me really sleepy. The paper or the project were due and I hope Ms. Ingram got my power point. Thats all that I can remember.

Tuesday's clase

More Notes on Ch.2 in the smoke and ashes book.
Ms. Ingram is so awesome because she gave us an extension on the power point.

Tuesday.

More notes, but Ms. Ingram as a good person that she is, she gave us time to work on the project. The other good thing that she told us that it had to be before midnight so that gave me more time to work on it and get a computer. I was so happy :) . The good thing is that I really utilize that time of period.

Monday's class

Monday's class was just pretty much long boring notes on Hitler.
Hitler despised all jews yet he won an iron cross that was given to him by a jew.
But, ofcourse he doesnt seem to remember that..
ughh Hitler is such a pain.. =[

Monday.

More notes, and a really interesting thing I learned was that a Jew gave Hitler the Iron Cross after the war. That is the only thing i can remember about Monday.

More notes, thats what class was about today. The class seem to take forever. I guess it was because we mostly take a look at notes like everyday. Well at least thats a good thing becuase all we have to do is pay very close attention. So that way we do good on our test which is coming soon.

Yesterday class was great. We took more notes on Adolf Hitler boring but ok i was really wanting to take a nap. But today class was very good. We got to help each other out with the book. The ghetto diary was kind of confusing. I enjoyed class today because we helped each other out with questions we didnt get. Also i cant believe we will be re reading chapter 2 again ughh killing me.

Class today was not like any other class day. We got to take a break from notes. So instead we got to talked about the book we need to read. It seem that many people didn't like the book. I though it was pretty confusing. I guess it was because it used many polish and jewish words. My group that I was in also though the seem thing. Hopefully the next book goes by much better.

Today was a pretty good day. we talked about how everyone's weekend went, and more about Hitler. I find it very interesting that a Jew recommended Hitler to have the Iron Cross medal first class. I want to know what would Hitler have done if he found out that a Jew recommended him?! Taco also made a good point today, if Hitler was an artist how come he didn't create his own sign?! well I'll tell you, Hitler is one confusing man!

So, I hadn't been able to blog because it didn't let. Which I don't know why. But anyways today's class was all about Hitler's notes. The notes were almost about Hitler being involved in wars. I can't belive the man never wanted to go home during the war. Also that he did many paintings during the time he was in the war. The man was a freak. Anyways if he wasn't a freak maybe we wouldn't be learnind about him.

Friday

Omg. Ms. Ingram thanks that we just talk about the Olympics. Yes, I am happy Chicago lost because if they won things are eventually going to increase. My prediction was right I told my sister that Brazil will win. Guess what they WOn!
Changing the Theme: The book Ghetto Diary is a boring diary. I think comparing Anne Frank Diary I think that is the best one.

Thursday

We watched a movie Hitler. It was basically about his childhood, the concentration camps. Eventually I didn't get some parts were they were showing his little baby picture.

Wednesday

I think I get a reason why Hitler started to dislike Jews. I guess is because the doctor that was taking care of his mother couldn't do nothing much. As I think further there's nothing in the world that just for that he has the power to treat other people like that when non- of other are blame just for that occasion.

Tuesday

Ms. Ingram why do we have to learn more about Hitler. Why a lot of Info. I still don get why is he so special that he is mention on every path of the Holocaust. Any who, something that got on my head was that Hitler was a mamas boy and so far he wasn't treated fairly that his dad was a violent man. Specially, it was weird about how come he or other misspelled the last name and that's the reason why Adolf got Hitler. I have some ideas why Hitler became a mean guy. I guess everything was because of his childhood. Sometimes I think he was attracted to guys instead of girls.
